Top Ten Reasons to Exercise Everyday

Exercise has long been proved and tested to increase the quality and longevity of life. So how come not everyone’s hitting the gym? It’s because exercise is hard to maintain. To motivate you, let’s discuss the top ten reasons why you should exercise. There are thousands of reasons out there, but let’s go over the top ten reasons why you should exercise daily.

Let’s start with number 10 on the list.

10.) Better aesthetics. I placed this as my number ten reason because it’s not that important but it’s still a priority for some people as to why they’re exercising. Everyone wants to look good. Who wouldn’t, right? That’s why they hit the gym to get that ripped set of abs or a thinner waistline. Exercising helps develop your muscles to make you look good.

9.) Faster recovery from injury. Research has shown that a fit person who gets injured recovers faster than an out-of-shape individual. This is because the protein in your well-developed muscles is utilized to help repair broken tissues and bones. I placed this as my number 9 reason because not all people tend to exercise so they can heal faster when they get hurt. However, it is a good thing to know.

8.) Exercise prevents osteoporosis. Exercise helps increase your bone density. It can help prevent osteoporosis and other bone problems like arthritis, scoliosis, and others.

7.) Better posture. Combined with a better bone density, well developed back and abdomen muscles promote good posture.

6.) Added strength and endurance. Exercising daily helps you perform tasks not everyone can do so easily. If you are physically fit due to exercise, you may be taking a lot of activities for granted, which out of shape people are finding hard to do. Concrete examples may include climbing a flight of stairs, walking long distances, running a marathon, swimming, or simply getting up from bed.

5.) Exercise improves your mood. Going for a jog or a brisk walk to start your day can leave you feeling great and charged all day, compared to a sedentary person. Exercise helps you feel better by getting your blood pumping. Hormones, such as epinephrine, keep you active and are only released when you exercise. These hormones help you out and helps improve your mood.

4.) Better personal values. Exercising requires personal discipline and training. By constantly exercising, you discipline yourself and respect your principles and priorities. You can even often find that people who exercise are more responsible, diligent, and hard-working than those who don’t. Exercise does not only tone your muscles, by it refines your attitude too.

3.) Exercise keeps you that small waistline! Face it. Everybody wants a fashion model look. Well, exercise helps you by burning fats and increasing your body metabolism. Your body needs energy to exercise. It gets them from burning some of your fats and calories.

2.) Stress reliever! Stress is related to 99% of all diseases and disorders in the world out there. That’s because stress makes you weak, and when experienced in a long-term basis, may cause illness. Exercise is one way to relieve stress. Work out those frustrations, problems, and concerns!

1.) My number one reason is life longevity. I bet everyone who’s on their right mind agrees when I say nobody wants to die young. Exercise helps you get a longer life by keeping your body healthy and your organs active.

These are my top ten reasons to exercise daily. Actually, there are thousands of reasons out there. Look for your own top ten reasons to help motivate you to exercise daily.

  1. thanks to Yo Mama" for these reasons why we should exercise everyday. The health benefits of regular exercise and physical activity are hard to ignore. A better feeling, controls my weight, improves my mood,it's fun, promotes better sleep, and to stay healthy, slim and sexy?? haha. i guess that would be the few out of many reasons why i should indulge myself into BAdminton(which is my sort of exercise.). But sad to say, having a very busy schedule could lead me to forget exercising and just focus on my studies. hope i could manage my time well to still have time having fun playing badminton with my friends. miss those times.:(

  2. Thanks Yo Mama! At least, I already have 10 reasons to exercise. I really wanted to get some exercise, but just like what Ms. Daguman, I also can't do this because of our busy schedule studying. I just miss the old times when my cousins and I go for a jogging every dawn, about 3 am. It feels so great and I feel so alive. But now, I just do some stretching so I won't get sleepy in class. I guess, I have to start doing some exercise to relieve stress. :) I need a break! :P

  3. Oh yes, exercise have many benefits. i really agree on you @yo'mama.

So if we exercise regularly or get some kind of physical activity every day, we're more likely to feel better, look better and be healthier. Whether our goal is weight loss, happiness or more energy, daily exercise can help us get there.

but due to hectic schedules and lack of time, we tend to forget exercising. :((

  4. I agree with Yo' MAma that exercising will increase your span of life. Thnx also for sharing number 9 because I didn't know that people who are fit when they get injuries it heals faster than those who aren't fit. I always have in my mind to have a good body but I think I still need to let my body finish its growth development, it's like I'm not yet ripe hahahaha! But that doesn't mean I will not have exercise. So if you really want to have a nice body, stress-free face and live longer, then you need to exercise!

  5. I agree with you MS. Andles, because of our hectic schedules, we tend to forget to exercise..

  6. to tell you the truth, the thought of exercising everyday actually interests me..... that is if i was a person with NOTHING ELSE to do!! if i was a dropout, a jobless person, or a model, or just plainly in a super duper long break, i would definitely have/find lots of time to exercise and lots of time to prioritize toning my body till i drop dead! "consistency".. indeed it is needed if someone decides to maintain a figure or even do better.. but how can i exercise consistently if everyday, i am loaded with lots of things to do! if brains can exercise, mine must have a thin waistline by now.. hahaha. -_- i was not born with incredible metabolism abilities.. the very reason why i should watch what i eat.. to people who are naturally fit even if they eat a lot, good for you!

@jam daguman: badminton is a very good sport. i also use it as my form of exercise. but i only get to play when there are long breaks. confessions of a nursing student.

  7. @sabay: yes, its good to know that exercise helps us fight against diseases, but if we exercise too much and force our bodies to do much more than what is needed, we might get ill.. i knew someone who always developed a fever or cold whenever she exercised during her free time.. maybe because stress + exercise is not a good combination. :)

  8. Yes, it's important to have regular exercise to maintain healthy body. But it doesn't have to be in a gym or spending much just to have an exercise. Walking everyday to school, taking the stairs or maybe running in the corridor (when you're late) is already a form of exercise. So why spend much? :D.

And i think we're all mature here, I've read an article once and it says that sexual intercourse is a good form of exercise. AND IT'S FREE! HAHAHA :D.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Exercise is one of the best to improve better and healthy life style. It easily burn to fat and stomach which effect to health.

  10. It's pretty clear that this list is fairly accurate. :)

At first, I didn't understand how exercise can be related to osteoporosis, but after I few Google searches I finally found what I'm looking for :))

    Explanation of Reason # 8:
When we work against gravity (like when we carry weights or a heavy load), our muscles pull against bone and this stimulates bone formation. Inactive bones tend to decay or weaken over time. There you go, just incase somebody else wants to know. :>

Just an opinion, I think that what will motivate me most to exercise everyday is self-satisfaction and not having an "image" or perfect body for other people to see. Before trying to conform to "society's standards", I'd rather work on making myself happy & contented first. Hahaha

And just because I feel like it, here are what I think are the top 5 reasons why I (or we) can't exercise everyday.
    5. As students, we're all busy. There is barely a time when we're not thinking of homework to pass or quizzes to study for. (I KNOW YOU GET WHAT I MEAN.... :P)
    4. Admit it guys, sometimes, it's just too tempting to sleep in... especially on a Sunday. We lack the discipline.. which is something we have to acquire as well. :)
    3. We don't always have the resources. This does not apply to all, but it's still a reality. Not everybody can go to the gym, court or pool regularly or have the gear needed for a certain exercise.
    2. Our friends don't. Whether we like it or not, our social circle can dictate what we do during our free time. When our friends prefer computer gaming rather than real-life basketball, it can also affect us.
    1. We. Simply. Do. Not. Have. The. Time.

I just wanted to list them down, so I can remind myself to avoid using these reasons in the future :) How about you? What's stopping you from exercising?

It's always better to live a healthy life!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Exercise? Weeeeew. Tiring, I know. But, I really love to sweat it out especially when I'm in deep stress or whenever I'm sad. :)
Exercise does not mean that you will enroll in a fitness gym or buy your own treadmill or any other stuff. It's just so impractical. Cleaning your own room would do it. In this case, you will lessen the burdens of your nannies. Ha-ha. Just one thing about exercise that I hate, is sometimes it gets boring. So for me, I usually lock myself up in my room, plug the earphones, and set the volume in maximum, and dance all the way! Dancing is a great exercise! Because, while having fun, you're also burning up calories! And it never gets boring. Swear! :)) Well, that's only my opinion :))

    ReplyDelete
  12. miss gabiana! hahaha can i join you while you dance? hahahaha. that seems fun! :)))))))))))))))

well anyway anywho anyhow. THIS IS THE BEST! so guys, i told you exercise was fun and beneficial. WHY DONT YOU GET IT!? no, joke, i didnt tell you that. but anyway, this article is really perfect. it boosts our want to exercise and work out. and by that i mean, like what others say, exercise has to be done in a gym, with all those weights, all those benches, wheels, wires, pulleys, handles, and rubber. walking, runnning, cleaning, DANCING <3 and all those stuff can be considered as exercise. i guess, with this article, you are now going to work well when you exercise and when you move :) lets all have a great life! WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Yah.. you are right there ms.apple.. I don't usually do to fitness gyms because I find the atmosphere in their very boring like after 5 mins or less, you would already wanna stop..
In addition to what ms.apple said,
there are already a lot of dances which are already considered as a sport such as dance sports..
not only you lose weight, but you also gain gracefulness and enjoyment..
For me,I wanna try air dancing and fire dancing..dangerous but its worth it ^^

  14. "I don't want to die young.
So I have to exercise. I need to exercise for my body, health, and wholeness.Better exercise now rather than waiting until the clock strike to its end, right??"

Those were my thoughts after reading the article. And I am convinced that exercise is really helpful and beneficial.Exercising doesn't require any cash(going to gym), simply walking on the streets is a form of exercise.

If you are a critical thinker, you'll definitely choose a healthier lifestyle. and healthier lifestyle starts with EXERCISE.

    ReplyDelete
  15. While reading the article, I was like Exercise? Gosh! I wish I could do that!

Most people would say this about exercising...
"I'm too fat" or "I'm too unfit","I haven't got time" or I'm just not sporty" or "I won't know what to do"...I guess most of us feels this way, like me:)
Personally, I really like the feeling of exercising. I do stretching sometimes( I don't know if it's still exercising though)and I feel better! I feel more active and ready to start my day, even though I was just stretching and bending a little:)

@Ms. Apolinar: I so agree with you!
Instead of exercising, I tend to spend the time in sleeping, so that I can have the energy to study and do other household chores. I'm so lazy at times though.

    ReplyDelete
  16. @Ms. Salera: I agree with you! I don't like to die young, but I don't exercise...
Maybe I will take exercising into consideration already because I also don't want to develop diseases like obesity, Back pain,Osteoporosis and Heart Diseases.

I know it is better done than said, but living longer, feeling good and looking good is not that impossible to achieve. However if we truly want to improve our physical and mental health we will find time and energy to get in good shape. The benefits of exercising are extremely rewarding and worthwhile. And I hope we can together do this guys!:)

  17. OMG, that top ten reasons to exercise everyday is great! especially the top 1...life longevity... I don't want to die young.... i want to die like when I reach a 100+! HAHAHAHAHAHA... sounds impossible but yah, I'm afraid to get old then die.... :O so... I think I have great reasons to exercise, but I prefer swimming and dancing as my style of exercising.... it's fun than going to the gym. HAHAHAHAHA... and ohhh, I also love badminton :} I'm not saying that I'm really good at it, but I enjoy playin' it :D (sounds surprising, huh?)

I agree with ms.apolinar, I can relate to her Top 5 reasons for not exercising everyday...

and thanks yo mama for the article,,,, I really like it. :D

    ReplyDelete
  18. oh exercise, i am really not into you. but i guess i better exercise now because i don't wanna die young.
Exercising to maintain a healthy weight decreases a person's risk of developing certain diseases. for us to optimize our health we better exercise now.
but how can i do exercising if my schedule is overloaded?
ms apolinar, i applaud for your interesting insights. i totally agree with you especially for no. 1. but for no. 3, there are a lot of resources out there, there is no need of too much expenses. just take a walk, and do stretching. exercising is not just all about the gym.

    ReplyDelete
  19. waaaa~~~ we're the same, C. Gabiana!!! :D :D
:)) Dancing is fun (although I'm not good at it) and I usually lock the room so that my sister will not walk in on me dancing.. :)))

    K. Ganir.. I tried fire dancing once... *ehem* minus the fire *ehem* :))) . . it was not that hard.. >_< or maybe because I was only taught the simple moves.. -_-" but ts fun~~ :))) you should try it :)))

Exercise doesn't have to be going to the gym or forcing yourself to do something you don't want to do. Exercise comes in a lot of forms,... sprinting, jogging, swimming, dancing, et al. All you have to do is choose an exercise you would love and keep loving to do to be able to be committed to it. ^^

As students, we are so loaded with school stuffs. But it would be beneficial for you if you can do exercise for just about 10-30 mins. a day (when you take a break from studying or something). If you really want to do something, there's always time for it. ^^

    ReplyDelete
  20. ms. roferos: yeah you're right! walking as we go to school is a good form of exercise. for me, it is the most practical and accessible way to do despite the fact that we do have a veeeerrryyy busy schedule. to share this to all, i usually take a short walk from my boarding house going to school and i can say that it really helped me a lot. it doesn't only makes me become more alert in our class but it also gives me the strength to perform our daily tasks all day long! :))

    ReplyDelete
  21. I love the 1st and the 2nd reasons of Yo'mama. For me it is really amazing how can exercise relief stress and prolong life.Even if one can't indulge in any sport, a simple activity such as walking within 30 minutes everyday can make one's body healthy and active but it is more enjoying doing it together with friends and have a little chitchats.
I agree with you guys,we as nursing students are not into exercise because of the hectic schedules but i believe usual climbing the stairs in our school can activate our healthy lifestyle in small way.It is a simple way to exercise without going to the gym.

  23. Yo'mama thanks for this article! Keeps me want to do exercise everyday....BUT time is the problem. I can't even have a decent sleep during school days, how much more do exercise? but I'm trying to engage on it during school breaks. Before I entered college I play badminton a lot with my coz...won't stop playing 'till the shuttlecock's not broken! lol. :)))) It is really fun and at the same time I'm burning calories but now? I rarely play it.

What about student's daily struggle? you know, walking/running towards school (especially when you're almost late), climbing stairs, etc. is included right? hehehe.

Ms. Aparece we have the same problem! I guess we can only do this stuff during weekends..we can't help it right?

  24. .
    Another reminder.thanks Yo'Mama!!
Yeah right, exercise makes lives longer and creates responses in the body to prevent such diseases and improve one's health. Out of the thousands of reasons out there, I think these ten reasons are already enough for us to do some exercises and physical activities. But i think not everyone recognizes this fact because as what I've observed, many people there exercise only when they knew that they're getting weaker or having a disease and was advised by their doctor. Many disregard "exercising" for they haven't experienced yet body problems, and some are already contented on the daily activities they have because for them this is just a waste of time. AND I ADMIT, I don't exercise daily, only if i have time but NOW, I'm motivated to do some and have these
benefits freely especially that i'm not a little guy anymore, I need to have a good body shape that's appropriate and good-looking for a Real Man.lol. I really do want to live life out of the feeling of being soooo stressed.
@Ms. Salera-I think everyone or majority of the people don't like to die young. I agree.

    ReplyDelete
  25. i don't think that no one would disagree about how important exercise would be to all of us. i know that we are much aware of its significance but just like any other health related practices that we knew, we always tend to ignore and take it for granted. i myself is guilty with this. i can tell that i don't have the time to spare for exercising because of the hectic schedule. although i don't exercise physically, i think i am still doing a new form of exercise -- mental exercise, that's if studying would be included. the top ten reasons for me are not enough, we can still modify it and add our personal reasons for it to motivate us effectively. for me, one reason to exercise is for leisure and enjoyment. i play volleyball because i don't want only to exercise but at the same time i play it because i enjoy it and i feel free and happy playing with it. so the top ten reasons our limit in order to motivate us. we can improve it so that it will be effective and our time reading this article will not go to waste. it is said that knowledge is useless if there's no application. time maybe too small for us now, but we will have it someday. :)

  26. THUMBS UP IF YOU DO EXERCISE! :) WELL, FOR ME AND MINE ONLY, WELL, YEAH, I DO EXERCISE WHEN I JUST FEEL LIKE DOING IT. I'M A LAZY TYPE OF PERSON AND SOMETIMES I DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING ANYTHING :) BUT FOR THOSE WHO ARE THE NEW CONTESTANTS OF "THE BIGGEST LOSER SEASON 2", I WOULD REALLY ADVICE YOU TO WORK HARD ON YOUR GOAL! DO YOU GET IT? DON'T GIVE UP GIRL! OYEAH! EAT WELL! SLEEP WELL! MOVE WELL! DON'T ADMIRE GARFIELD! DO YOU WANNA BE LIKE HIM? BE ROUND AND ORANGE? HAHA! NO OFFENSE FOR THOSE WHO LIKE GARFIELD :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. @ms. apolinar: thanks for listing down for us the reasons why students like us fail to exercise. haha. saved my time and effort for ranting about why i can't exercise because of this and that.

i think overall, exercise makes you confident and happy about yourself. it gives you that sense of satisfaction that you are actually doing something good for your body. and the rewards are never ending - sexy body, healthy mind, strength to fight against sickness and live longer and many more!!! whooohoooo. HURRAY FOR EXERCISE!!! if only i had the initiative to do it. hahaha.

thanks for this article yo mama! this is the best article so far. well for me, anyway. hahaha it's uber informative, i lavit :))

  28. @ mr. julson amil. hahahha. "I need to have a good body shape that's appropriate and good-looking for a Real Man.lol."
i guess reason no. 10 has really made you give second thoughts about exercising. :)) well, good luck on achieving that good looking Real man body mr. julson

    ReplyDelete
  29. Ms. Concepcion: yes that's right ms. Concepion...this simple walking, going up the stairs, and running to school or somewhere else is really effective....this makes our legs strong and lean. just look at mine!:D (hahha,,what a feeler!)...but, you see this really is helpful,,

    nice article yo'mama

    ReplyDelete
  30. ms. salera, mr. gervacio and ms. aparece: yeah me too! i'm also afraid to die young because i still have so many dreams that i wish to happen. and one of these are to become a NURSE and to graduate in CNU. hahaha! but I guess aiming a long life as we've wanted to have only depends on God's plan. so as early as now, while we still have the chance to live, we should enjoy life and show to Him that we are thankful about what He's given us. hehe. so guys, exercise doesn't need to be strenous, a short walk will do. just by walking each day, this gives an exercise in your body in just a simple way. :))

    ReplyDelete
  31. @ ms li: haha, true to that, i do that too, lock myself in the room so that my sisters will not walk in on me dancing... they really have fun laughing at me and slapping it to my face on how i suck at it. :)) bt anyway,, i agree with you, exercise doesn't have to be that hassle or expensive, as long as you'll find the one that fits you, you'll be able to do it well just with proper discipline. ^^

    ReplyDelete
  32. ms marturillas, yes we can do it on weekends but most of my weekends are spent on sleeping and eating. because in the end of the week i still want to have time for myself to relax. after a hectic schedule in a week causes me too much stress.
i agree with you ms rosales, exercise can boost one's confidence. that is why we should be motivated to exercise. we should exert more effort towards it if we don't wanna die young.

    ReplyDelete
  33. @ ms rosales: is it sarcasm that i notice in your comment regarding mr. amil's intention behind his exercise? ^^ but anyway, i think it's still good, despite him choosing the 10th reason on why he should do exercise, as long as it keeps him goin on doing a healthy exercise, i think it's still reasonable... ^^ hai arielle. :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think with these ten reasons, people will be motivated in doing exercises. on my part, i don't really do exercise most of the time since as what people above have stated, time is really the 1st and foremost problem most of the students have... I know it not good but i'm still in the process of finding where to insert exercise in my schedule.

@ms. ocon: i believe that we have our own time according to God's plan but i also believe that we have a say in that in one way or another since we're free to do anything we want. i agree with your point in regards to doing exercise, i hope i have that kind of situation too where i can walk from the where i'm staying to school since as you can see, our house isn't that convenient to walk from and to school. :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. @suarez: you have a point ms. suarez that "stress + exercise is not a good combination. when we're stressed our body is very weak, in fact other people could just easily noticed it from our appearance. and exercise needs energy. so i think, it's not right to have a vigorous exercise when we are stress. it would be better to have a good sleep before indulge ourselves to exercise.:)

    ReplyDelete
  36. You're right Yo'Mama that exercise really promotes longevity and that it can also be a stress reliever and one good example is yoga and I only tried it once but its worth it because I really felt problem free after the exercise.

As for me, I can say that somehow im always busy that's why i don't have time to go to the gym just to have an exercise but even though I don't go to the gym but still I do always have to walk to school and its still a form of exercise because it can also burn down some of your calories :)

And to Ms Minoza, I guess you should also try doing daily exercise even just a couple of minutes so that you can stretch your muscles for at least in a small period of time.

There's no harm in doing daily exercise guys because it can really gives benefits in your body and can even increase your immune response towards infections and diseases.:)

    ReplyDelete
  37. @cristineroferos: hahaha sure? sex is a good form of exercise? but i think it's a dangerous form of exercise. maybe we could try that when we're married already, not this time.;)

    ReplyDelete
  38. Ms. Traces: I think that there is nothing wrong with the distance of your house and our school ms.traces..you can still walk from your house, to school..if you have ENOUGH TIME ..HEHEH

  39. great article yo' mama..! thanks..! ^_^

im sure every one of us here all want a perfect figure as well and a healthy body. i mean, who, in the right mind, wouldnt want that..??

these top ten reasons could really motivate a person in making their body healthy and fit..at the same time, making them live longer. there's no exercise that can destroy your body..not unless you exercise too much that you wouldnt even have time to rest..that would really kill you.. O.o...

life is too beautiful to let it end that early..so exercise..!everyone wants to enjoy life. no one wants to die so young. if you're really that determined to marry someone..have a family, grow old and have grandchildren and see them grow..one way to live up to that dream is through exercise.. :)))

it wouldnt kill you you to do some exercise.. :)

so..if you really want to live longer, have a happy and healthy life, one way to do it is through EXERCISE..

so....KEEP EXERCISING..!! and stay happy and healthy..! :))))))))

    :D

  40. In my case, I always tell myself that I will exercise. My main purpose is to lose weight. It did not come to my mind at all that it also have more benefits. Thanks Yo Mama for the information.

As what I've said, I tell myself that I will exercise. But the thing is I am also lazy just like Ms. Minoza. I'd rather sleep or eat every time I am not busy.

When I go to school, I climb a flight of stairs. For me that is already my form of exercise. Yes, it might sound ineffective and simple but I really consider it a tough exercise. I already find it tiring. Funny right? Well, that is laziness. BUT, I will change this attitude, no worries.

    ReplyDelete
  41. ms. casals, that is really something...as our anatomy teacher has put it, activity intolerance has something to do with cardiovascular problems. heyyy, i'm sure there's more to life than eating and sleeping during our free time. not that i don't do that during mine (HAHAHA OBVIOUSLY), but i also incorporate house errands and other knick-knacks so that i don't treat it as a chore. and i've heard that you have a family history of such so be careful. we must manage our health responsibly, k girl? :)

we might not be aware of it, but the things we do could be great exercises. it's great that we are blessed with a flight of stairs in our building. lol, i used to curse it coz it's really tiresome (feel meeeh!). then i noticed that i got the hang of it, so i don't feel any shortness of breath whenever i go up and down anymore. duhhh. :))

    ReplyDelete
  42. ms carcallas, that's a bit unrealistic on the part of ms. traces. i'm sure you wouldn't do it yourself even if you had all the time in the world. O.o

    ReplyDelete
  43. even if i don't have anyone to reply to, i'll just share my surge of insights (woah) or something. hmm...i actually watch shows which feature the daily routine of the brightest stars in the philippines. there was one actor who barely sleeps during taping days, and he used to be a regular in a morning show. instead of snoozing around, he resorts to playing badminton even during wee hours in the A.M. coz it keeps him going till then. so you see, exercise CAN help you get through all the stress. what's good about it is that it's also beneficial for our health. as if we didn't know about that, right? that's all. haha.

    ReplyDelete
  44. @ shienna aparece, for no. 3, I was also pertaining to gear such as the right running shoes or badminton rackets. :) But yes, there are still exercises that don't require anything ... at all :))

I think that it's not all the time that stress + exercise is not a good combination. There are just days when all you want to do is play basketball (for example :)) and forget schoolwork... So temptiiinggg :| =))

    ReplyDelete
  45. Exercise. The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear or see this word is the gym with the weights and treadmills and all those stuff. But there are other forms of exercise such as dancing. Though I'm not that good at dancing, it feels great to just let loose of all those stress. Plus, knowing the benefits of exercise just motivates me more to exercise as often as I can.

Thanks for the article Yo'Mama :)

  46. true that @Ms.Apolinar, WE JUST DONT HAVE THE TIME. THATS WHY MY DREAM OF HAVING A SEXIER BODY GET SO MUCH DELAYED :(

  47. I soo agree with ms. apolinar's 5 top reasons why we cant exercise. But a sad confessions, its not like i was doing it when i had free time.(like in highschooool, and summer) i sooo had many free time..but i didn't do anything..well, if you would count summer classes (such as volleyball training, badminton training and swimming class ) as anything...then i guess so. Even though I have a big build,(>.<) I am a sporty person.*ehem*..I join as many sports as I can learn and experience.. I'm that kind of person...im my opinion.. :))

Now that i know the top 10 reasons for exercise..i have this feeling that i want to know the other reasons..you know that feeling? But I guess for tonight i can settle with just 10 :) thanks for the reasons though yo' mama especially no. 9 who knew right? I never knew that exercise could you know, make you recover more faster and all :)) another fact that I can add to my memory bank :)

I agree with Ms. Li when she said that its not an excuse that studies hinder you from exercise, cause if you really want it you will find time for it. That's why there is a saying that if "there's a WILL, there's a WAY" so no excuses guys. Don't underestimate the simple forms of exercise like even when you are running late for your early morning class..the way you run and climb the stairs is already a form of exercise. Even when you go down from the room to buy food in the kiosk or u-cafe, sure you went down to buy food but still...its exercise. I just wanted you guys to know and share my thoughts :))

well all i can from this article is that yup! i agree with your list Yo' Mama! People do have these mindset why they do exercise..especially jogging..did you notice that people in cebu or manila are often sponsoring fun runs? and also, did you notice that the no. of people jogging around cebu or @ the CCSC are increasing? Its good to know that a lot of people are already taking their lifestyle and health into consideration. Well I approve this article! Two thumbs up ! :)))

  50. Such a trending topic...#exercise! :)
I bet everybody knows the essential of it to our ADL. Even gradeschool students knows it. Good thing yo mama give us the best reasons in doing it.

For me, exercise really works in stressful situations. Like the simpliest one: DEEP BREATHING! it's still an exercise right? It lowers my temper and decreases my fear.

Call it badluck. In my situation right now it's hard to do proper exercise since I am fully loaded with tasks which are due to the people who never get tired of making my life Miserably BUSY!!!! T-T

  51. I wish those "people" who never stops making our lives BUSY could read this article and try doing it....somehow, it could divert their attention and instead of creating STRESSFUL THINGS/TASKS for us, might as well exercise. take a break. a pause...Because sooner they could rapture our brains. (get what I mean?) >:(

  54. I as a person who seldom exercises i actually find exercise as somewhat like a discipline to the body and literally the body does experience pain but as the saying goes, No pain. . . No gain.. hehe, anyway even before reading this article , i already knew that exercise is a very important factor for one to be healthy but after reading this article it helped me a lot in knowing that theres so much to exercise than what i only thought of what it could benefit me. all in all, i approve this article and i advise everyone who read it to not just read it but do it.

  55. I can relate ms. Arestang, the feeling that you wanted to have these SUPER POWERS just to do all the stuff you have to do, like me, I want to control time. Either to stop it, play it fast, or rewind it... :D I dread for this power very much especially today. Just the thought of it always gives me a grin...:D I can have all the time in the world to study, do exercise, sleep, relax and do all the stuff that i want to do but ran out of time to do it or undo time... Isn't that amazing?!?

I always exercise...my brain! I don't have time to physically exercise because I usually feel over work (Sometimes I just think that my brain could actually develop muscles!)and instead of exercising I spend my free time relaxing or sleeping. this article though help stimulate me to find time to exercise my body, for a change.

  56. we don't really need to do extreme exercises everyday to stay fit. specially for students like us who can barely find time to do other things aside from school works. i think our muscles just need a little flex here and there, and ta-da, it should be fine. we can do simple exercises like deep breathing(like what @carluth Niala said), walking, and stretching.. and oooh, don't forget to smile!-- it's good for the facial muscles and good for the heart <3

  57. @ms. daguman, yes. sexual intercourse is a good form of exercise, surprisingly. i googled it haha and i found out that thirty minutes of it burns 85 calories or more. It is a great mode of exercise, says a doctor. It takes work, from a physical and physiological perspective to do it well. hahaha.
i think resorting to sex as your ONLY exercise, is not good. :))

    ReplyDelete
  58. oF course! We know already that exercise is good, it has benefits but KUdos yo'mama! you've put a rationale behind it! it inspired me to exercise. And the only means of exercise to me is moving and moving the body, AND WALKING TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY JUST LIKE MS. OCON...

Ms. Rosales, having sex is too risky for an exercise! Even if what you said is a fact, as in F.A.C.T. it's not reasonable in our age!...

    So better resort to walking..

    ReplyDelete
  59. Do you think so Ms. Carnicer? so if i smile every second of the day, i won't feel angina pectoris anymore. Yay! It is the most accessible treatment ever! I can do whatever I want now! To swim, to dance , TO DO EXERCISE! SMILE IS THE PRECURSOR OF EXERCISE...

    :) :) :)

  60. Amazing! exercise can make my body fit and fit as ever! fashion-model-look is my aim for now! though i get all the benefits at the same time... IDC... fashion model look is my aim! I wish exercise could make me grow in height too! so i can walk in the victoria's secret runway! and make everyone's jaw drop! hahahah
    My dream is cool right!?

All because of the motivation yo'mama!

  62. Ms. Laguda: i disagree...if i'm in that position...i'll surely walk, if there's enough time...god gave us legs and feet, so why not use it? why spend a lot of money riding taxi and jeepney?....

    ReplyDelete
  63. well, exercise. ahahaha, let me think, Hmmm. Walking from Abellana to our building, taking the stairs up to the 3rd floor of the building, walking to Emall in going home, walking from Rm 331 to the Canteen. Yes, these are just common things we do, that we didnt envolve in counting if we have done some exercise. Remember the time when Mam Inabangan showed us her pedometer and told us that some of our teachers also use them? haha, atleast 10 000 steps and were on the go of starting our healthy lifestyle. EXERCISE, some things that enter your mind are like aerobics, dancing and jogging. But for us students having 7am classes, could you wake up earlier than 5am just to jog? Oh com'n so lets have exercise without spending so much time. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, burn your stored fats! Walk instead of lying in your bed after dinner, eliminate those excess calories guys and lastly, let's pair it up with a healthy set of meal with your go, grow and glow. :)
