Is Eating Snacks Good or Bad for the Diet?

Is Eating Snacks Good or Bad for the Diet? Snacks are a part of a lot of people’s daily routine. There are tones of reasons why this is. It could be so that they feel too hungry during the afternoon between lunch and dinner. It could also be because it’s a habit from a childhood practice when Mommy started preparing cookies and sweet every afternoon. Or, it can be something to occupy an idle part of your day.

Either of these reasons may be good or bad for your diet. You will need to evaluate your purpose of eating snacks, and I can help you through it. If we find that you’re snack habits are causing bad effects for your calorie limits, then we’ll need to change that. However, if it’s actually good for your diet, then we’ll keep it. Let’s get to know which reasons about snacking are harmful and which ones are helpful for your diet.

Let’s look at the reasons why you would eat snacks. First off, do you feel too hungry between breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner that you really need to grab a bite? Do you feel you’re going to faint if you don’t deal with your hunger pangs with a snack? If so, then these are healthy reasons to eat a snack.

Eating a snack so you don’t gobble anything and everything you can get your hands on during lunch or dinner is a great reason to continue morning or afternoon snacks. Dieting is not about starving yourself. It’s about controlling the amount of calories you eat. Honestly, it wouldn’t help if you can’t control how much you eat because you are too hungry to care. So, eat a snack to keep yourself in check when eating lunch or dinner. Just make sure you control the calories you eat during snack time too.

If your reason for eating snacks is just to fill up an idle part of your day or any other reason not related to a hunger that needs settling, then your snacking reason is harmful for your diet. You need to find a diversional activity that can help you stop eating for fun. Walking and exercising are great alternatives, and it helps burn calories too! Some people snack as part of a habit since childhood. Some snack to fulfil their eating impulses and sweet-tooth cravings. The only way to get by this is to accept the fact that snacking for these reasons can ruin your diet. Try to remember WHY you’re dieting in the first place to help you with this problem.

Is Eating Snacks Good or Bad for the Diet? By now, you should be able to figure out if your snack is helpful or harmful for your diet. If it’s helpful, then continue with it. Just make sure to count calories, as always. If it’s harmful, then stop it. If you can go without a snack from lunch to dinner time, then it would be best to just skip a snack.

  1. Totally agree with Yo' Mama. We don't need to starve ourselves to death just to loose weight. The fact is, the more you starve yourself from eating the more food you consume the next time you eat. Eating snacks in between meals as long as its minimal can be a way of a diet. Some doctors even adviced patients to eat 5 to 6 times daily as long as its in minimal amount. Snacks dont necessarily mean eating foods high on carbohydrates such as bread, pasta etc. It can be a choice of a fruit or a vegetable... it will only matter on the amount and kind of food we intake...

  2. I also agree with you Ms. Selloria! I mean totally!! It seems that your comment is what in my mind too so I guess I don't need to repeat it again. All I can say, for me snack is a good thing for diet because this prevents us from craving more foods. It also keeps us alive the whole day in doing our activities. I believe it is a necessity to have snacks. Still it depends on the person. It would be great if your snack is accompanied with fruits.

  3. I also think that snacks are still good for your diet but that depends on what your snack is. Like the article said, if it is to satisfy your hunger, then a snack is good. But if you're just eating for the sake of eating, it would ruin your diet if you are on a diet. But if your snacks are fruits, I think you can just keep eating you snacks. It also stops you from eating a lot during lunch or dinner. It also can keep you concentrated the whole day since you won't be bothered by your pangs of hunger. So I personally think that snacks are an essential part of your diet but only if they are healthy :D

  4. ms taborada, i don't think one would eat for the sake of eating. i mean, something should at least control it. hehe, anyway, many people who are overweight or obese owe their flabs to emotional binging AND mindless eating. i think that's what you meant about the 'people who eat for the sake of eating'. yes, i practice those two coz i feel that no matter what happens, food will always be there for you. FOREVER ALONE T_T

still, i believe that everything has a reason. also, i think no one would eat for the sake of eating IF they are on a diet like what you said. exactly WHY it's called a diet my dear, it's never a diet without some form of discipline. am i right? lol. :))

  5. For me, snacks is good for the diet. It prevents you from eating too much and craving for foods. Hmm. I used to eat snacks and I guess I have this body clock that every 9am and 3pm, my stomach keeps of on saying "I WANT FOOD!!". LOL. Just like what Mr. Sabay, said, we should always accompany our diet with fruits. :)

  6. OF COURSE! EATING SNACKS IS IMPORTANT. IT'S STILL FOOD YOU KNOW? RIGHT? :) @MS.LAGUDA: I AGREE WITH YOU! FOOD WILL NEVER LEAVE US! AS LONG AS WE LOVE THEM, THEY'LL LOVE US TOO. BUT AS THE SONG IMPLIES,"TOO MUCH LOVE WILL KILL YOU!", PEOPLE TEND TO EAT AND EAT AND EAT NOT KNOWING THE RIGHT INTAKE OF FOODS. LOVE IS REALLY BLIND. :)

  7. I think eating snacks is fine. There are still nutrients and vitamins we can get from them, but, of course, it still depends on what kind of snack you're eating. I agree on what Mr. Sabay said, eating fruits rich in fiber is good for your diet to prevent constipation. :)

  8. oh yeah! i already figured it out @YOMAMA.

Your stomach is growling, but lunch is hours away. You could indulge yourself with a snack, but you think it's best to grit your teeth and wait for lunch. Not so, if weight loss is your goal.

Although you may feel guilty about snacking, snacks aren't necessarily bad. eating snacks is good specially when you want to loss weight. but remember, select only those foods that supply your body with energy and provide important nutrients yet it satisfy your hunger.

  9. well, i am always guilty that i love foods, but as what ms minoza said that too much could be harmful. discipline is always on top to keep us alive and kicking.
having snacks is also important to keep us going throughout the day. and it helps our brain to function well. that is why our CI always allows us to eat before our lecture so that we will have enough energy and our brain could process well.

  10. when i first read the title, i was like, "duh, 'course it is". we have passed a lot of articles already that emphasized the importance of eating snacks in between meals to lessen your cravings, so much about that. i am not going to comment about it any longer since it is already so overused.

i had a moment in my life that when my hands have nothing else to do, i grab food whenever i can. that is an example of a bad habit that can alter your health condition or weight status. i believe a good way of resisting such cravings is finding something else that can distract you. there are a few things that can be done. for example, you can brush your teeth, chew gum, drink water, enjoy a hot beverage, etc. as what mr sabay, and those who agreed to his idea, said, it is good to satisfy your "need to nibble" by replacing unhealthy snacks with fruits that you love. :)

  11. Yah, for me snacks is good... as long as it's healthy rather than burgers, fries, and the like... BUT, in our school, you can buy those foods mostly than the healthy ones... so that's why when our stomach is growling, we have no other choice than to buy it just to subside our hunger... hahahaahahah... having a short break is one of the reasons also... awwwwwwwwwwww :/ and again, snack is good, just like the others said it prevents us from craving more foods which ruins our balanced diet....

  12. you're right ms. aparece! but sadly.. we are not allowed to eat inside MUMHO anymore.. :)

  13. I really like eating snacks because it somehow satisfy my cravings for food especially in between lunch and dinner :)

@Ms Selloria, I really agree of what you said because if you deprive yourself for food then you will end up eating a lot of it in the end of the day.Its just my opinion but I guess eating Food is Unstoppable but of course even though you always eat food especially snack, you also need to limit it or even try controlling it.

By the way thanks to Yo'Mama for this article because I somehow understand that there is also a reason that snack can also be bad for the diet.:D Ill surely tell my cousin about this too :)

    ReplyDelete
  14. ms cerna, it's really normal for you to be hungry between 9 am to 3 pm coz within that period of time, you should be eating your lunch ^^, in which according to my understanding is one of the 3 imp. meals of the day and not just simply a snack... :))

@ms selloria, i agree with your point as well. having snacks is really essential to stop yourself from craving for more food, but as what I really believe in, balance is really needed for everything... ^^

    ReplyDelete
  15. nice connections made ms. minoza... :))

anyway, as what mr. sabay and ms. selloria is pointing out in their statements, snacks is needed and is good for a person's health. me, being a person with hyper acidity, i tend to eat crackers from time to time to avoid my stomach and head from aching which usually turns out so badly...

    ReplyDelete
  16. @mr. gervacio, yes! i can really relate to that, most of the time, time and convenience or availability of foods are the common hindrance in us eating or getting healthy food and diet since we only have limited time to find food to subside our hunger and we've got no other choice since it's the only things available. :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. I like snacks too....as what others are saying, this can satisfy our hunger and it can help loose weight...we should choose healthy foods for our snacks and not those junk foods ..but, i'm guilty of that you know..haha..because most of the time, i choose those junk foods over those healthy ones ..well,i guess it's really the time for me to change..FOR A BETTER PURPOSE ! HAHAHAH

  18. I am a “snack person”. Actually ever since nursery. Hahahaha. Since I was a kid, not to mention until now (oh yeah), my ever loving mother has been diligently packing my snacks from biscuits, to toasted bread with sugar. YUUUMMMM. In school i’m sometimes guilty of eating snacks just to satisfy my sweet tooth cravings or when the teacher is discussing. Somehow, eating makes my brain work. And when I am at home on a very boring weekend with nothing to do but watch TV and surf the net, I tend to pair these with eating biscuits or bread. So if I was weight conscious, I would lessen my snack intake or, eat healthy snacks like fruits or low- calorie foods.

Thanks Yo mama, I can really relate to this article

    ReplyDelete
  19. Everytime I stay at home, I always eat snacks. I always look forward to the time that I can eat snacks it's because this is when I eat my favorite foods like sweets, junk foods, sodas and those kind of food. This is the bad effect of eating snacks.

On the other hand, if I am at school I don't eat snacks that much (sometimes). It's because I want to save my money, it is tiring to go to the canteen and I want to lose weight. But if I decide to eat snacks, I make sure that it satisfies my hunger, which makes it good.

Just like what Mr. Gervacio said, snacks is good as long as the food that you are eating gives you nutrients. And according to our teacher, if you want to lose weight, eating healthy snacks twice a day makes it effective, as long as it is accompanied with 3 small meals and also exercise.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I'm indeed guilty of eating snacks for fun or when I'm bored. sometimes, when I'm just too tired to do anything, I have like the urge to just a grab a snack and just enjoy my day with it. I then realize that what I'm doing is threatening my health.
I changed my eating patterns. I never tend to over eat my snacks. I eat them lightly, because I know there's a major meal next to it. I always keep in mind that I must just eat enough. Never greater. Never lesser. Just enough.

@Ms. Suarez: I agree with you:)
I've always used the technique that when I tend to crave foods especially sweets, I brush my tend and my craving goes away. It's really effective.
As mentioned by Yo'mama walking and exercising is really helpful:)

  21. "Dieting is not about starving yourself. It’s about controlling the amount of calories you eat."

i really agree to this statement. dieting is NOT bout starving yourself nor depriving yourself to eat..its about controlling your calorie intake...i notice most people misunderstand the word "DIET". they tend to deprive themselves their favorite foods and skip meals..which in turn would only make them more hungry and eat more...

in snacks..i guess its true that there can be good or bad for the diet of the person...

but..i cant really say anything about that because im a "snack" person..i tend to eat snacks almost every time...im not afraid of getting fat because that's actually my purpose..to gain weight.. XD i know it might be kind of wierd..but..come on people..have you seen how thin i am..? XD

me eating snacks is not just for gaining weight..lol..i mean who gains weight just in snacks..?? XD i eat snacks because i always get hungry..and it has been my hobby since i was in highschool..i always eat and eat and eat.. :))))))) i dont know why..i just get so hungry so easily.... :))))))))

    so...going back to this article..
snacks are one way to help lose weight..but it can also make one gain weight when not monitored..so..if you really want to lose weight...dont be afraid to eat snacks...eat..! but just make sure youre keeping tract of your calorie intake.. :)))))))

thanks yo'mama for this nie article..! :D

    God bless every one..! :D

  22. @Mr. Sabay: I agree with you! fruits are really helpful also when we're craving. It makes me full quickly and still makes me active.:)

Truly, Ms Selloria! We don't need to starve ourselves. Controlling our food intake is really different from starving ourselves!
I believe that starving ourselves can lead to hyper acidity and soon to ulcer, which is really painful.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I agree with you all! I do love foods. Iz one of the ways i cope with stress. :D And a day wouldn't pass without me eating snacks! haha. But I do notice sometimes that i wanna eat not because my tummy's complaining but because my mouth wanna chew something. Weird right? yaha...

@yo'mama: how about writing an article on how to gain weight? 'cause I believe many of us here badly need to gain some weight rather than losing it. Just suggestin'. :D

    ReplyDelete
  24. I definitely agree with you Yo Mama! Dieting is not about starving yourself, it’s about controlling the amount of calories you eat. Having snacks between breakfast and lunch, or lunch and dinner is part of my daily routine. And since i have already a history of Gastritis, it is advisable for me to have a snack in between meals just to fill up my stomach and would not worsen my condition. A couple of biscuits are packed already in my bag everyday just in case, i could grab something immediately and fill up my stomach. But I would still regulate the amount of calories I have consumed by not eating too much, just enough to satisfy my stomach.:)

  25. Me too Ms.CAsals,I eat snack sometimes if I'm in school and it depends on my mood.Well for me i don't have to lose weight so it is ok for me to eat many snacks as many as i could.(it depends on the budget)
We all know that losing weight is about discipline and controlling but it is not easy because of many delicious temptations surrounding us.Losing weight is not all about depriving or strictly controlling the food intake,it is also about nutrition that can prolong life, avoidance to diseases and many more positive reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  26. true. DIETING ISNT ABOUT STARVING YOURSELF, IT'S ABOUT CONTROLLING YOU'RE CALORIC INTAKE. as what i've learned in nutrition and from the past articles and even in health assessment class, it was talking about this, the reason for your diet. Is it bec you wanted to lose weight? or do you normally do that like skipping meals? Is it to maintain or gain weight? well, i've learned that a 5 meals a day is an ideal way of losing weight. And it involves to 2 light snacks. It helps you avoid overeating, and remember, if you think that if you skipped a meal then you'll be thin or lose weight immediately? No, you're doing suicide. :)) Your pushing your stomach to produce soooo much acid that harms your digestive track. So for me, Snacking is good thing as long as its not too much, cause i've love snacks, fooods actually. hahaha, so yeah. Thanks YoMama. :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. @selloria: Yeah I agree with you ms. selloria, fruits or vegetables could be a good choice for snacks. But I think not all fruits are good for snacks, like for instance, orange is considered highly acidic. Eating acidic foods while having an empty stomach would just lead into Gastric Irritation and would just result into problem. It would be better to know the fruits if it's acidic or alkaline to prevent further complication. And besides, fruits ain't high of calories, so no worries for gain weight.:)

  31. Snacks: good or bad? well, it isn't quite uncanny! Ms. Suarez was definitely right! The previous article informed us about the importance of having 5meals a day which includes LIGHT SNACKS in between meals. So, it's ovious that snacks is indeed essential to our body.

What YO MAMA is trying to imply is that not all snacks are healthy.Reasons like bad eating habits, stress, gluttony, and uncontrolled appetite makes bad snack craving for us. Which I myself is guilty too.

    <>

    Don't you know that :
*as you skip meals, the more you increase your cravings for snacks?
*eating snacks at night is one of the major reasons that increases our body's flabs and fats?
*Caffeine does eliminate food cravings but after sometime it could even make our cravings worst!!
*Food have medicinal properties too. they even helps us cope up with stress!

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. @Ms. Daguman: i agree with you. although fruits maybe a good choice, there is always their chemical content which can even worsen our situation. it will no longer satisfy your PURPOSE of being healthy. so, nice point there Ms. Daguman.

for me, snacks isn't very important because i rarely get hungry in between meals. i guess my elementary school was the reason why i am not fund of eating snacks. i just wanna share that because i am from a school wherein we are not allowed to bring expensive things which includes foods to avoid other children to be jealous. all we are allowed to bring is crackers. what would you expect? eating crackers everyday? as a little child, we are very fund of sweets, anything pleasing to the eye right? because of that i lose my appetite as in, it really drops to eating a little to nothing. i think my body has adapted to the routine that i rarely feel hungry in between meals. eating snacks for me is seasonal coz, it may depend on your mood like Ms. Casals, or your feeling and purpose like Ms. Roferos.

  34. as you skip meals, the more you increase your cravings for snacks?

    - i skip snacks to increase my craving (and intake) of meals :)

eating snacks at night is one of the major reasons that increases our body's flabs and fats?

    - yes! and you are creating a major risk of dying in your sleep xDD hahahaha this happens most especially when you sleep directly after eating. i think it's because the body is taking a rest. digestion is at rest, everything is. you'll get choked when you do that xD hahahaha

Caffeine does eliminate food cravings but after sometime it could even make our cravings worst!!

    - i did not know that :) hahahahaha!

Food have medicinal properties too. they even helps us cope up with stress!

    - and food has a lot of vitamins, minerals, electrolytes, and other substances that does not only help us cope with stress, but also give us the optimum health we need. it balances eeverything inside us <3

yeah. food is important. I'M ASKING ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR OPINIONS. I SKIP SNACKS JUST SO I CAN EAT WELL DURING MEALS. IS THAT GOOD? :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Lol, so funny the article really, who skips snacks anyway ?Hahahhahaha nobody skips snacks, srsly, ... loljk. Some people do -__-' and idk what's wrong with them, laziness level 99. If skipping snacks mean avoiding the food even if it's right in front of your eyes or within your reach, then it's wrong. But if there's no snack,HEHEHEHHE then there's no snack to skip.
Snacks are like classes/lectures, both of them are things we shouldn't skip, the only difference is snacks are never boring.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Is there a need to regulate and limit my snacks everyday??well, my question has been answered by this article.

i don't usually limit my snacks everyday.as long as i have something to eat that could satisfy my stomach. without knowing that it is harmful for my diet. *sigh* why do we have to limit our snacks??it's frustrating to know that even your snack has to be controlled.. :C.moreover I think doing such thing(limiting snacks)is also necessary to achieve an effective diet.
And i do really care on the kind of snack I eat and the amount of it sometimes.

    ReplyDelete
  37. @Ms. Osias

I do skip snack time if i feel that i'm not hungry at all and if i ate a lot on breakfast. but hey, i do agree snack time never gets me bored with all the pleasing sight of food facing you saying "eat me now"..haha

  38. ooooh~! so that's why i eat snacks in between lunch and dinner...i just remembered that in my previous 3 schools..(i frequently change schools haha CNU is actually my 5th! ) that we have this break during 10:00 am and in the afternoon during 3:00 pm...i guess i kept that habit.. that's why eat snacks in between meals.

But according to the previous article..the author mentions that a person it actually needed to eat 5 times in a day right? am i right? :)) counting 3 full meals and 2 light snacks soo that just means that eating snacks is actually a good thing..especially when you are intending or planning to lose weight.

i just want to comment on ms, Dagumans list of foods/snacks that are good in the body:

1.Air Popped Popcorn---> meaning the ones that are not microwavable? does this refer to popcorn that you cook using a modern cooking pan? but isn't this bad for our health...especially the way you cook it..you use oil right?

2.Nonfat Cottage Cheese---> okkay, i tried eating this kind of cheese once and i swear it sucked..i literally puked after i tasted it! eww! never eating this again! so no!

3.Broccoli Florets----> yum! i love broccoli! so in my list!]

4.Green Salad----> yummy! especially the Caesar's Salad! so yummy!

5.Peanut Butter---> no sorry i don't eat this stuff...i'm allergic to peanut butter. but not peanut. And disadvantage is it sticks into your teeth and its too sweet..not really recommended for snacks..if its without a slice of bread to accompany it :)

6.Crackers With Tuna---> haha! i love eating this..i use skyflakes and use century tuna as the filling and i put another skyflake on top to make it a mini sandwich..

7.Apple & Peanut Butter----> again, no for peanut butter..but i guess my way of eating this is by using strawberry jam and a tinge of blueberry jam..if there's stock in the ref.

8.Tuna Salad Sandwich----> same as no. 6 but not using crackers...just bread. still carbo.

    9. Hard Boiled Eggs----> yum! haha if its with soy sauce or salt.. who agrees? and even vinegar! wow so yummy..especially when its balot pinoy! try it its soo yummy :))

10.Baked Sweet Potato---> i eat this when i have the chance or time of making them. I love it! especially in casa verde..they substitute rice with mashed potatoes..

soo that all i can say! thanks for the addtional info ms. Daguman :)

also thanks to yo mama for another spectacular article :))

  39. Did You Know That...

Television watching tends to increase snacking--particularly on high-fat, high-calorie "goodies"?

*i got this from a website and i hope you'll be attentive on what you eat while watching tv :D

    ReplyDelete
  40. ohh~ miss osias..so your saying that classess are boring? ahaaha bad gurl!

@ ms. Salera...i totally get the feeling! When you promised yourself you wouldn't eat snacks but instead when you see other people eating it..you get tempted and buy it instead...i sooo have that problem..i need to get rid of it!

@ ms. Casals! yup! me too :) whenever there is no class...and i just stay at home...it tend to eat a lot and just sit and watch TV the whole day..or worse i sleep the whole day..with intervals of course! that's why i don't like being at home and holidays...sure holidays are fun and allows you to take breaks during class days but i tend to hate it because i have nothing to do and it makes me grow or acquire more subcutaneous tissues. :))

all i can say is that for me snacks are good but too much snacks is dangerous as the saying goes everything in moderation is good but too much of everything is a hazard to you and your life :)

    ReplyDelete
  41. yes Vien Salera i agree...i eat a lot especially when i'm in front a TV!

  42. Eating snacks is good but it is not necessary to eat snacks during break time..
i mean, if we only just eat our three regular meals with control, we can avoid eating our snacks.. in this matter we are still maintaining our diet.
snacks is only applicable when we skip some meals..

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'm guilty!!! :( haha. . I eat snacks not because I am hungry, but because I want to nibble on something or because I want to satisfy my sweet-tooth cravings. I know that it is wrong to do this, but it's not like I do it all the time (just when I'm really really bored).

    S. OsiaS: I skip snacks . . But it's not because my laziness level is 99. X) I just try to stop myself from wasting my money on snacks that are not beneficial to my health. Think about it, when it is break time, what do you think of buying first in the kiosk?? Burger, right?? Right??? Another reason would be the fact that I do not feel hungry. I only get hungry during breaks if I skipped my breakfast or my breakfast was just a small amount. It seems weird for a person to not get hungry during break,. . But I guess the reason is because I'm used to not eating snacks; Back when I was in elementary, I stopped eating snacks.

I know that it would not really matter if I eat snacks just to satisfy my cravings since i'm underweight and all. But it's just that if i have to buy snacks from the school, I would prefer it to be fruits, just like A. Sabay. Fruits help you maintain your health. ^.^ and they are also very yummy , especially greeeen apples!!! <3

Whether eating snacks is good or bad for the diet, it depends on the situation. But all I have to say is that it is still okay to eat snacks even if your reason for eating is to satisfy your cravings. But it would be great to keep an eye on what you eat during snacks to assess on what snacks you have to crush out of your list when you notice you have gained weight.

  44. @Jimeica Minoza

Dude, save all that love stuff. it's not even the 14nth yet. lol. how can you even compare love to food anyways? love is so..complicated.. and overrated. while food? food and principles of eating are so simple: if you want to lose weight, eat lighter.. if you want to be healthy, eat healthy.

    ReplyDelete
  45. ms. ganir: do you really think that eating snacks are ONLY applicable when we skip meals? well, it's your opinion though but i'd like to tell you about something: snacks are still part of our diet and as what other previous articles have discussed, it is advisable to take 3 meals and 2 snacks a day. it is for us to satisfy our cravings and give enough energy in our body as well us in our brain as we perform many activities all throughout the day. so ms. ganir, i know that you have a point about losing weight is all about control and discipline but i guess this should not be the reason for us to deprive ourselves from eating especially our snacks. :))

    ReplyDelete
  46. Ms. Ganir, it seemed that you haven't learned the importance of snack. YOU have that laziness level 99. hahah. sorry but I learned your lifestyle already and your body is abused not by your mother nor father nor friends but by the BEHOLDER.
You don't eat breakfast, you sometimes not eat dinner and now, you don't permit snacks to come in? Maybe you'll never be a good dietician.
just maybe eat snacks, I mean GOOD snacks and that will make eating snacks good. :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. I need to eat snacks...eats already been part of my eating habit. I can't function well when I' m hungry. But there are some instances that I can't stop to eat what is required due to extreme hunger coz I failed to eat a meal. I also learned from the past articles that if you wanna lose weight, eat light snacks...so yeah! since I'm trying to lose weight I'm slowly practicing this stuff hehehe.

  48. ms. salera: so true and i really wonder why we tend to eat more while watching TV. haha. so why is that so?

ms. bispo: yeah! eventhough snacks are good, we must still be reminded that too much of everything is bad! so we must balance and control what we eat as a part of our snacks in order to achieve a proper and healthy diet. :)

ms. daguman: wow! i love those foods but the problem is that i don't have much budget to buy some of those foods you've mentioned. hahaha! so i think in eating our snacks, we should not just consider its nutritional value but also the availability and affordability of our chosen snack! hahaha (just my opinion.)

  49. i agree with what Ms. Selloria had said, We dont need to starve ourselves just to loose weight.

And for me, Snacks is Good although I only have this sometimes,it avoids us form hunger and yes, we don't need to worry about our diet if only we know how to control this and avoid from foods containing nutrients that we'll help us go beyond the limitation.

  50. Lol ppl, I'm not saying classes are boring. Classes are so fun, you just sit there, listen, write down important notes (even more fun when everything the teacher says is important). Studying can be so fun for me, I do it until midnight, early in the morning before going to school, and when I reach the classroom I study again, it's so fun and addictive, even on weekends. k

@Ms.Li: that's a really good reason to skip snacks, to avoid wasting money. I do skip snacks too, to save money, money to buy snacks. Good for you because you don't feel hungry all the time. Lol, I love burgers.

  51. well snacks will really crave our tummies...esp when our schedule is very hectic..we usually take snacks every middle of our meals tO keep up with the upcoming class...as what i have noticed there are two manipulations of snakcs in our alertness esp during in class...1st is that it will keep us up with our discussion and tO moon blink our eyes nOt tO sleep and the 2nd one is the opposite pole coz it will either lure us to be drowsy or tO get the point to sleep in the middle of the class...when some of us tries to keep up with our weight and try to avoid eating snacks; our very nice classmates will always be the antagonist if we are on the 'not eating mode' coz they will eat snacks and tempting us toward their kingdom savoring the foods in their tummies and making us drool over (*laugh) and in the end we get to the point eating snacks together with them...hell yah!!!!mmhmm theres the catch here like what yO,mama said...our weight lies in our tummies whether we eat snacks or not...it depends on how our body will react with what we take in and our decision to continue eating snacks will base on our daily diet...so au revoir...till next time guyzzz :]
